An end of term / 2020 message from Alford Academy to our community

It has been a very strange year and our pupils and staff have worked incredibly hard to continue learning throughout these challenging times. Everyone has their personal story to tell and the one thing that stands out for us is how everyone has remained resilient and worked together to keep going.

Our S1 Clan pupils and S3 Positive Education and Wellbeing (PEW) pupils took part in an activity to write a message of kindness or thanks to everyone in our Alford community for doing their bit to keep us all safe. The messages are inspirational and say it all. They are on display in our local Co-op so please take a minute to read them the next time you are there.

All at Alford Academy wish our community a very Merry Christmas and please keep safe.

  1. I think the whole community is deeply indebted to the Academy, Rector and Staff for the huge and unprecedented effort that has been delivered this year. Stress on Teachers has been relentlessy increasing over the years and it is difficult to imagine just how difficult it must have been this year to be a Teacher or Administrator.
