Young Writers Poetry Competition:

Find your voice and talk about any subject you feel confident and empowered by.

Young Writers are running a poetry competition for 11-18 year olds and the theme is ‘Empowered’.

You can write about anything from current affairs, religion and identity to love, loss and everything in-between. National Poetry Day is coming up soon on the 7th October and the theme for this year is Choices so Empowered complements this as you can choose to empower yourselves, and others, through your words.

The top 5 poets can win £100 each and a trophy plus the chance to be a published writer.

Collect an entry form from Ms Steel in D1-44 if you’re interested.

Closing date for the school is 12th October as the main one is during the October holidays.
