S5/6 Duke of Edinburgh Award Expeditions
Hi everyone,
Can we meet up on Wednesday 22nd Feb lunchtime in B1-23 to catch up about expeditions?
We have both Bronze and Silver to cover;
For those still to complete the Bronze final / silver practice = Week beg 3rd April (in the holidays).
Silver final = 2nd June – 5th June 2023.
We need to confirm dates, check route cards and organise a navigation day and 2 trainings to get everyone up to speed for the expedition.
Interact / Charities Club
Interact are back meeting at Thursday Lunchtimes in B1-23, We are always looking for new members and remember the club can be used to gain credit for the saltire award and the volunteering section in the Duke of Edinbugh award scheme.

Supporting the performing arts showcase
End polio now campaign
We are looking at what we can do to support the earthquake appeal and any ideas would be most welcome. Please come see Mrs RJ in Science if you want to find out more.
Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) July 2023
RYLA is a leadership development course. It is a week long, full time residential course. Activities for all participants include hill walking, rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking. kayaking (river), raft building, swimming, mental and physical team challenges. All as part of a team where you must work together to achieve a goal. Good communication and teamwork are key and you will be mentored on these aspects, including daily talks from speakers with experience of various team challenges. The camp is for 16 and 17 years olds (at the time of the camp) living in the Rotary District 1010 of Scotland (Stirling, Fife and North), and is paid for by local Rotary clubs.
Camp Dates for 2023:
Girls Camp 8th – 15th July & Boys Camp 15th – 22nd July
