A Moment in History

A Moment in History

We have been celebrating this unique moment in our school history by taking photos and videos around the school.

It was only when we took a look at this photo later that we released that the Sky News Team were also helping keep an eye on our S6 during their study periods.

Alford Campus Celebrating the Past – Thursday 24 September, 4-7 pm

Alford Primary School and Alford Academy are opening the doors of their existing schools on Thursday, 24th September, between 4pm and 7pm. This is an opportunity for former pupils and members of the local community, who have fond memories of the current school buildings, to say farewell to the “old” campus.

If coming by car, we recommend that parents/visitors attending either of the events on the 24th,  use the large car park at the Grampian Transport Museum as the Academy and Primary/Community Car Parks are likely to be full.

In addition, during the remaining weeks of term, we will be taking group and whole school photographs and film clips of pupils and staff to celebrate and capture this key moment in our campus history. These photographs will be uploaded on the Alford Academy blog. If you do not want your child to be photographed/filmed as part of this commemorative school record, please email Miss McIver at caroline.mciver@aberdeenshire.gov.uk by Friday 25/9/15. It is also the parent’s responsibility to ensure your child knows that you wish them to opt out of any such photographs/film clips and therefore not take part.

One final date for your diary – New Alford Campus Community Preview Event, Saturday 24 October 2015. Further information to follow.

Yours faithfully
