Duke of Edinburgh Award is BACK

Duke of Edinburgh Award is BACK

We are delighted to say that Duke of Edinburgh has restarted for the year.  Woohoo!

If you were unable to attend the information session 2 weeks ago please see Miss Shepherd in C1-34 at lunchtime (if in S3) or at break time (if in S4-6) and we’ll tell you what’s going on and give you the paperwork. If a parent/adult in your life is interested in helping us to run DofE please tell them to get in touch with the school as additional volunteers are always welcome.

Running club is setting the pace

Running club is setting the pace

Running club has started again this term, we meet every Thursday after school (3pm – 3:45pm) and meet in PE. We are currently doing our own version of couch to 5km and are all just starting out again!  If you would like to join us all you need to do is speak to Mrs Rees-Jenkins in Science or go visit our Active schools team!

You can book in online:

https://www.livelifeaberdeenshire.org.uk/sport-and-physical-activity/active-schools/active-schools-in-your-area/alford/

Everyone is welcome and all abilities of walker to runner can join in 🙂

Run club is just fun and a great way to relax after a busy day!

Bronze Dofe in the snow

Bronze Dofe in the snow

5 groups of S3 pupils started their Bronze Dofe practice expedition today. If you look carefully spirits are high even though snow and hail have been falling. #Alford Positive Attitude
