Alford Academy Inspection
Alford Academy was due to be inspected from Monday 16 March 2020. On Friday 13 March 2020, Education Scotland informed us they are pausing all inspections until the Easter break. This is due to the changing situation with Covid-19 (Coronavirus) in Scotland.
We will update you when we receive notification of a rescheduled date.
Copy of letter to parents about adverse weather, school closure and school transport which was emailed via Groupcall last week Parent letter – session 19-20
if any parents did not receive this letter please contact the School Office so we can check we have your correct contact details.
Further to an issue with the campus sprinkler system and related activation of fire alarms, it has been necessary to close the school early today (Friday, February 1). I apologise for any inconvenience the early departure/collection of pupils may have caused you.
We are grateful for the assistance of the fire brigade and the co-operation of all staff on site. I would like to assure you that the correct policy and procedure was followed by our staff. Our young people have again been a credit to you and the school today.
We plan to be open as normal on Monday morning, however, if this is not the case then the adverse weather phone line, and the school’s social media (blog, Facebook and Twitter) will be updated. There will also be information on the school closures page of the Aberdeenshire Council website and corresponding alerts sent out via the free MyAberdeenshire app. Please check for any updates on Sunday evening and Monday morning.
If you have any queries please do not hesitate to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01975 562251. Thank you once again for your patience.
I hope you all have an enjoyable weekend.
