The school currently uses Show my Homework to share details of homework tasks set to our students.

This can be accessed by logging in (student accounts or parent accounts), or buy  viewing the public calendar.  This page will give you a summary of how to access as either a student, as a parent or via the public link.

Instructions for Parents on how to log on are given a little further down this page or in the letter issued by email

1. STUDENT Login

Students login using their Glow username and password, and there are two ways to do this.

1.1. Students login in via a glow tile.

Enter your glow username and password and click sign in.

Find the SMHW tile and click on this.  You will be logged in and taken to the SMHW site.

1.2 Students logging in via the SMHW site (or app)

from the SMHW site (https://www.showmyhomework.co.uk) click the orange login button at the top right of the screen, or if using the app, you will see a screen like the one below

Do not enter your school, username and password in this page.  Scroll down within the app, to find the image shown below, or search for this on the web page.  On some mobile devices you may have to hide your onscreen keyboard to see this option.

Click the grey Sign in with RM Unify option (Glow is part of RM Unify.)

Enter your glow username (make sure it has @glow at the end) and password, then click sign in.  You will be logged in and taken to the SMHW page.

2. PARENT and GUARDIAN Login

Parents can log in in via the SMHW site (or app)

From the SMHW site (https://www.showmyhomework.co.uk) click the orange login button at the top right of the screen, or if using the app, you will see a screen like the one below

If you have previously accessed the service, enter your details on this page, and click log in.  Otherwise, click the blue link that says I’ve been given a PIN or parent code to get into my account.  Parent codes can be obtained from the school or are printed on the letter you will have received.

Fill in this form, click the I’m not a robot option, and when completed, click Submit.

You will be asked to confirm you are the parent/guardian of the named child, and that you accept the Terms and Conditions.

When you click continue you will see the following screen.

The final stage is to provide your own details which can be used the next time you wish to logon.  Providing your name at this stage helps us troubleshoot if you have any problems with your account.

3. Accessing the public SMHW calendar

Either follow this link https://alfordacademy.showmyhomework.co.uk or

from the SMHW homepage click the search for your school option.

enter Alford and into the box and click the prompt for Alford academy that appears.  You will be taken to the full public calendar for Alford Academy.
