Clubs at Alford Academy: Alford Academy has a wide variety of clubs ranging from football to songwriting, there is something for everyone. Please take a look at the list on the pupil area of our website https://alfordacademy.aberdeenshire.sch.uk/activities/ and see if anything interests you. It is really important that you take all the opportunities presented to you at school so that you enjoy yourself and reach your full potential. Feel free to try as many clubs as you wish, but some require consent forms so make sure you fill them out if required. Thank you. The Student Council

Can any S4/5 pupils who are interested in taking part in the John Stuart Mill Cup please come to a meeting at 1.30pm on Thursday 5th March in D0-64. The John Stuart Mill Cup features teams of pupils from across the country facing off against each other discussing ethical issues of public concern. This is an initial meeting for pupils to find out more. You can bring your lunch.

Musical Theatre: Apologies to those involved but there will be no Musical Theatre rehearsal after school on Tuesday this week.

Numeracy Ambassadors: There will be a meeting for Numeracy Ambassadors on Tuesday 3rd March at 1.20 in C1-37.  This is open to all year groups, and you don’t need to have been to the first meeting to come along.  Bring your lunch with you.

Daily Bulletin – Monday 11 November

Children in Need 80’s Song Raffle: Starting today there will be a stall at the pupil entrance where you will be able to vote for your favourite 80’s song (from a choice of 10 listed below). Three of these songs will be played over the tannoy at break, lunch and end of the day on Children in Need day 15th November. 50p for one vote or £1 for three votes. Song choices – Sweet Dreams, Take on Me, Living on a Prayer, Another one bites the dust, Come on Eileen, Don’t stop believing, Tainted Love, Never gonna give you up, Summer of ’69, Eye of the Tiger.

Winter Window Design Competition for all pupils (S1-S6):  Design a Christmas tree!

The winning entry will be recreated in one of the Library windows for the festive period.

There will also be a book prize.  Pick up a form from the Art Dept., or the Library.

Forms must be returned to the Library by Thursday 28th November, and the winner will be announced on Monday 2nd December.
