The senior boys have the following upcoming games:
League v Huntly (away) on Monday 20th February . Bus leaves from bus park at 1.45pm. 3pm kick off. Return by 5.30.
JM Low Semi-final v Mearns (home) on Monday 27th. Kick off 4.15pm
North of Scotland Quarter-final v Inverurie (home) on Tuesday 7th March. Kick-off 4.15pm

A reminder that this year’s YPI finals will take place on Wednesday 9th November. This will take place in the Lecture theatre with a 7pm start. All groups in the final are advised to invite their chosen charities.

A huge thank you to all the groups who made today a very interesting and enjoyable semi-final. From the 12 groups who presented today, we have the following groups moving forward to compete for the £3000 grant for the their chosen charities. In no particular order :

The groups mentioned will compete again on Wednesday 9th November in the Alford Academy YPI finals 2016 (event starts at 7pm – more details to follow). The winners will secure a £3000 grant for their chosen charity!

The girls were successful in winning £3000 for their chosen charity Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. A total of £3029.41 sent to the charity this year. Well done girls!
Youth Recruitment Event
Town & County Hall, Union Street, Wednesday 30 March 2016, 1pm – 7pm
Come and find out what your options are for Moving On.
There will be a range of employment, #apprenticeship and training opportunities promoted by businesses and training providers, including: Stewart Milne, North East of Scotland College, Sport Aberdeen, Aberdeen City Council, Arnold Clark, AWPR, Sainsbury’s, SHMU, ITCA etc.
Professionals will also be on hand to give advice on training and career choices for those not ready to enter #employment.
Alford Academy will host it’s annual YPI (Youth Philanthropy Initiative) finals evening this Thursday 12th November. The evening event will start at 7pm. 2 groups from each house will present on their chosen charity/social issue and the winning group will be presented with their cheque for £3000 for their chosen charity.
The event will be held in the new lecture theatre. Anyone who wants to come along to support and find out more about the issues our S5’s have been investigating are welcome. The school will be accessible from 6.30pm onwards. Refreshments will be available after the event.
