This year’s National Poetry Day focus was on vision. Last Thursday we set as many pupils and staff as possible the challenge of writing their own vision haikus. The effort put in was incredible so please enjoy a small selection for now, more to follow next term…
Well done to talented musician and Alford Academy pupil Stuart Veitch, who has reached the final 10 in local competition Aberdreams got talent, with a song he wrote about being in lockdown. Alford’s own Emeli Sande will choose the winner out of the top 3. Voting closes at midnight tonight.
