Preparing for Higher Exams in Maths and Science – NESCol

NESCol are offering a series of short courses available to assist those preparing for end of year exams in Higher Sciences and Maths.

Over seven evening sessions in the weeks leading up to the final exam, learners will work in small groups with other candidates to practice exam-style questions. Coaching during the class will help them improve the way they approach a range of questions. We will also cover aspects of the curriculum which have been identified as poorly answered in previous exams.

All classes are 18.00-21.00 and run at our Aberdeen City Campus (Gallowgate). Further details of the courses is available through the links below:

Find out more information regarding apprenticeships and hear from Companies such as M Group Services, National Nuclear Laboratory, Arnold Clark, Weightmans, ABP Beef, BT, and many more will be joining us each day.

They will be discussing the stereotypes surrounding apprenticeships and highlighting the incredible opportunities they offer within their organisations, including degree apprenticeships. This is a fantastic chance to hear directly from current apprentices about their own experiences.

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

Pupils who are awaiting delayed EMA payments should receive these on November 3rd

An Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA) is an allowance of £30 per week, which can be paid to eligible students who stay on in education after the age of 16 years. Your EMA is paid every 2 weeks during school term time (subject to conditions being met) and it is not paid during the holidays.

S5/6 Work Experience in Technology

An opportunity has arisen for S5 and S6 pupils interested in a career in Technology to attend work experience. The events are in Glasgow but may be of interest to some S5/6 pupils.
