Pre-Loved Uniform Event : On behalf of your Alford Academy Parent Council

Previously we have collected and organised pre-loved academy school uniform and redistributed it for others to use. This worked well and many in our school community benefitted.

Our next table top event will take place on Thursday 9th June (3-5pm) and Saturday 11th June (10-12 noon), in advance of this please can we request for you to donate any uniform items that you no longer require.  These can be dropped off in the metal cage in the foyer of the community campus. Please see the attached our poster for full details.

We would also welcome any revision /success guides for SQA exams (any subject) that are no longer required as we will also be able to re-distribute these to our young people.

Thank you on behalf of the parent council for the school uniform donations made via the campus over the last couple of weeks.

Unfortunately because there were only a few items donated they will be managed by school for now and there will be no table top uniform event for the academy this weekend.

Its great to see so many pupils back in school uniform since the start of this term. Just a reminder that our supplier Academy Uniforms is offering an option for free delivery to the school for all orders placed by Friday 5 November (it is anticipated delivery to school will take place w/c 22 November) using the voucher code ALFORD. Alternatively, parents can opt for the usual home delivery which incurs a charge ( Link to Academy Uniforms website ) School ties are available from the school office, please phone or email us for information.

Looking for pre-loved Alford Academy uniform?

Alford Academy Parent Council have a collection of pre-loved uniform items to pass on to families. If you need anything please come and visit us on August 10th at the Alford Campus Entrance between 4 and 6 pm. All items are free of charge but any donations to Parent Council would be appreciated and would go towards funding our outdoor gym/seating project. We have numerous small and large v neck jumpers as well as a few medium sized items. We also have a small selection of girls and boys’ blazers (for S4-S6 pupils).  If you still wish to donate items (which should be washed prior to donating) there will be a drop off box at the collection table. School Uniform Distribution Day Thursday 15 August

Just a reminder that staff from Academy Uniforms will be at the Alford Community Campus on Thursday 15 August from 11 am to 12 noon to distribute pre-ordered blazers and jumpers to pupils/parents and collect in balance of payment where applicable (payments in cash please – the card reader does not always work and Academy Uniforms do not accept cheques). Staff can also answer any queries and deal with any exchanges on Thursday.

School Uniform Fitting and Collection Day Saturday 15 June 1-3 pm

School Uniform Events: The uniform supplier Academy Uniforms Ltd will be at the Alford Community Campus on Saturday 15 June 1:00-3:00 pm in the Dining Area. All parents and pupils are welcome to attend. There will be the opportunity for pupils to try on blazers, jumpers or cardigans to get the correct size and also collect any pre-ordered blazers for new S4 pupils (with the deliver to school option). There will also be limited stock available for purchase on the day (majority of sales are online). Please see Alford Academy blog for full details of uniform requirements and additional information on how to order/pay for uniforms. Ties are available to purchase from the School office Monday to Friday 08:30 to 4:00 pm term time.
Options for ordering / payment:
• Pupils/parents can be issued with their sizes on a fitting date and blazers/jumpers can then be ordered and paid for online from the Academy Uniforms’ website (www.academyuniformsltd.co.uk). Please note online orders must be placed prior to Monday 8 July for free delivery to school for collection on the Distribution Date – see below.
• Parents can purchase uniform on the fitting date Saturday 15 June. They can opt to pay for their blazer/jumper in full and take it home on the same day or place the order on the fitting date (a minimum deposit of £10 is required) and pay the balance on collection at the Distribution Date. Payment is direct to the supplier – due to connectivity issues with portable switch machines, the supplier recommends parents that wish to pay for and take away uniform on the day bring cash (cheques not accepted)
• Individual items can be ordered online at any time and sent to home address if preferred (a delivery charge is payable).

School Ties
Ties can be ordered direct from the School Office. If you would like to purchase a tie please complete the order form and return it to the Academy pupil drop box or school office together with £5 payment by 6 June (for collection week commencing 10 June). Order forms are available from the school office or can be downloaded from the Alford Academy School Blog http://alfordacademy.edublogs.org Please note ad hoc orders for school ties that are lost or need replaced can be made any time during the school session.

School Jumpers/Cardigans and Blazers
These can be ordered direct from our supplier Academy Uniforms Ltd. Staff from Academy Uniforms will be in school on the dates detailed below to provide a fitting service for pupils and advise pupils and parents on appropriate sizes of blazer and jumper. A professional fitting is particularly important for the first blazer purchased – therefore a fitting date has been arranged for S3 pupils – pupils will be given information on their blazer size and how to order to take home. Please note the cut-off date for online orders for free delivery to Alford Academy on 15 June is 7 May 2019.
