Alford Community Campus are delighted to welcome Jasper back to his customary spot outside our main entrance. Jasper suffered a wee injury last year but is now fully recovered and looking better than ever after receiving some TLC from sculptor, Helen Denerley. We thank Helen for looking after him so well. It is so good to have Jasper back with us and he is enjoying getting lots of pats on the head again – he is such a Good Boy!
Clothes Recycling Collection Points: For information, we wanted to share with the community that if using clothes recycling points such as the one in the Alford Campus carpark (to help raise funds for Alford Primary School Fund) to please not leave bags of clothing/textiles outside the container when it is full as these are not collected by the organisation responsible for emptying the containers and therefore it is effectively fly tipping. To ensure your textiles are recycled, please take them to an alternative recycling point when the container is full. Please spread the word in the local community. Thank you!
Thank you to all pupils, staff and parents/carers for all your support and commitment this session. Hope you enjoy reading our Winter 2021 Newsletter – please click on link above:
Now its time to “switch off” from school and have a well deserved rest. Seasons Greetings!
Alford Academy will be open to all S1-S6 pupils tomorrow, Thursday 2nd December 2021. We anticipate that school transport will run as normal. We appreciate that the disruption caused by Storm Arwen continues for many of our families and communities, we will be flexible and sensitive to any impact that this may have. Given the exceptional circumstances we do not expect pupils to wear uniform tomorrow, Thursday 2nd December.
30/11/21 16:35 – On Wednesday 1 December Alford Academy will be open to S4-S6 pupils only. We anticipate school transport will run as normal. We appreciate the disruption caused by Storm Arwen continues for many of our families and communities so we will be flexible and sensitive to any impact that this may have. Given the exceptional circumstances we do not expect pupils to wear uniform tomorrow 1/12/21. We will also endeavour to populate Google classroom so our S1-S3 pupils can engage in remote learning where possible.

The building is closed to all pupils and staff (apart from janitorial and facilities management staff who should report to work as normal). Hello All. The Co-op are supporting the Parent Council’s fundraising efforts to provide outdoor learning facilities at the school. If you are a Co-op member you can nominate our fundraising as your chosen cause and a small percentage of your spend in store will be donated by the Co-op over the next year. It all adds up! If you aren’t a member of the Co-op, please consider it, as it is an easy and cheap way to support us. You can join in store, or follow the link https://membership.coop.co.uk/causes/59492
