S1-6 Practical Cookery

As part of our school’s commitment to sustainability and promotion of environmental issues, pupils who are cooking in home economics are encouraged to bring their own reusable container with them to take their food home at the end of the day. Your teacher will let you know in advance, in person or on the Google classroom, what you are cooking and what size container we recommend you bring. If you already have something at home that you can bring that’s great but don’t worry if you don’t have anything suitable or you forget because we can provide you with a disposable container. Remember to collect your food at the end of the school day. If you forget we can usually keep it until the end of the following school day but after this due to food hygiene your food will need to be disposed of. If you have any questions about this please ask your Home Economics Teacher. Thank you.

Welcome back after the summer break. I hope you all had fantastic holidays.

A special warm welcome to our new S1’s!

The library is ready for you, filled with many new displays, arrivals and exciting reads.

One of the new books, I would like to recommend, is Raven’s gate by Anthony Horowitz. It is the first in The Power of Five series. It is a fast-paced novel with lots of suspense that makes this author a favourite.

The library is open for all pupils and staff on Monday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s from 9.00am to 3.00pm and on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s during lunch break.
